In today’s digital era, where technology is a part of every aspect in our lives, it is crucial that educators learn and gain the necessary skills to appropriately integrate new literacies in their classroom. The International Society for Technology in Education set a framework, known as the ISTE standards, to guide teachers and professionals in creating innovative learning environments in this digital age. It serves as a roadmap for educators while planning for instruction. Following the ISTE standards, empowers students to take charge of their education and ensures that learning is a student-driven process of exploration, creativity and discovery.
